Licenses & waivers
Paperwork, sorted
before the sand.
Florida has a few rules for rental boats and personal watercraft, and we need a signed waiver from everyone who comes out with us. Do it here and check-in takes a minute instead of ten.
- Two things required
- About 30 minutes total
- One waiver per person
Required before you go out
Both of these apply to every rental — jet skis, pontoon boats, kayaks and paddle boards alike.
Not required — but useful
Neither of these blocks your rental. The booklet takes ten minutes and the course pays for itself if you come back.
Which one do I actually need?
Depends on what you're taking out. Everyone signs a waiver — the boater test only applies to anything with a motor.
Florida law: anyone born on or after January 1, 1988 needs a boating safety education card to operate a motorized vessel. The temporary test above satisfies that for your rental period — the Boat US course gives you the permanent version. Not sure which applies to you? Call and we'll tell you.
Stuck on any of it?
Call or text 954-973-7000 — we'll walk you through the test or the waiver over the phone. No question is too small.
